POSITION: AgExpress Loan Officer, Western AgCredit

LOCATION: Logan, Utah

COMPENSATION: Grade 10-11 ($60,000-$75,000) Depending on education and experience, plus up to 15% additional performance based variable incentive compensation. Comprehensive benefits package also provided.

RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible to develop and service a loan portfolio within the AgExpress division. (This division services members with total borrowing relationships less than $250,000 across all industries and branch locations.) Within delegated authority, manage credit quality, credit administration, and portfolio performance. Negotiate terms, structure loans based on risk considerations and present credits for approval to appropriate personnel. Develop new business relationships and ensure that the needs of members and prospects are met in accordance with the goals and objectives of the Association. Complete loan officer training program. Perform field reports, collateral inspections, and other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE: BA/BS degree with emphasis in accounting, agriculture or business required. Will consider applicants actively pursuing a degree with anticipated completion in less than 6 months. Applicants must have a basic understanding of production agriculture. Must also have strong analytical, accounting, and communication skills (both written and verbal). Experience using office equipment, personal computers and the Microsoft Office suite of software products is required. Experience in Agricultural lending is preferred.

Applicant must have ability to interact effectively and work well with people at all levels of the organization and convey ideas clearly. Require skills in planning and organization. Applicant must be a self-motivated with a good work ethic and ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment.

GENERAL DATA: For over 100 years, the Association has been providing agricultural lending services to commercial and mortgage borrowers in Utah and portions of Wyoming, Nevada and Arizona.
